Cerebral dementia, prevent first

I was really pleased to discuss with Dr. Sylvaine Artero (INSERM) about her new study focused on the impact of a diet rich in refined sugar on the risk of developing cerebral dementia.

Cerebral dementia, like Alzheimer’s disease, are a major public health issue. The number of patients is always increasing and research efforts to limit or eradicate the disease seem to be unsuccessful. However, many studies today tend to show that it would be possible to limit the risks of triggering these diseases. Food, environment, sport, reading, etc. Our lifestyles play a major role in facilitating or preventing the onset of the disease.

To talk about this subject, I was really pleased to discuss with Dr. Sylvaine Artero, INSERM biologist and epidemiologist. We talked about her new study focused on the impact of a diet high in refined sugar on the risk of developing cerebral dementia.
